Distributed Cognition

Distributed Cognition is important in classrooms because it allows the student to interact with others and with each other in order to learn. It distributes knowledge and learning outside of a single mind and encourages learning through other means. With the following three essays, I have synthesized my knowledge of distributed cognition with my observations at Beachwood High School in order to better understand this unit.

Essay 1: What does Distributed Cognition Mean?

Essay 2: Students and Distributed Cognition

Essay 3: Teacher and Distributed Cognition
